Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are
Fundraising Wizard ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website fundraisingwizard.com and the web application at app.fundraisingwizard.com. We provide custom blanket and beach towel fundraising services for schools, sports teams, booster clubs, and community organizations across the United States.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly and information collected automatically:
Information You Provide
- Contact information: Name, email address, phone number
- Organization details: School or team name, organization type, mascot, colors
- Design assets: Logos, images, and design preferences you upload
- Payment information: Billing address and payment details (processed securely by Stripe; we never store card numbers)
- Shipping information: A delivery address for bulk orders shipped to an organization. Supporters buying through a fundraiser storefront pick up their orders through that organization, so we do not collect a shipping address from them
- Recipient details: The first name of the person an order is for (often a child), and their classroom, teacher, or team, used only to label and sort orders for pickup. See Section 5
- Communications: Messages, feedback, and design revision requests
Information Collected Automatically
- Usage data: Pages visited, features used, time spent on site
- Device information: Browser type, operating system, screen resolution
- Log data: IP address, access times, referring URLs
- How you found us: The first time you reach our site, we note how you got there: the short label on a link we posted (for example on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn or YouTube, or in one of our emails), or the name of the site that sent you (for example "facebook" or "google"), or "direct" if you typed our address. We save that first note in your browser and, if you request designs or start a fundraiser, add it to your record with us. This applies to the fundraiser-organizer pages only, never to a fundraiser storefront.
- Advertising and measurement data: On our marketing pages and the design and order pages, advertising tools from Google, Meta and OpenAI may record that you visited a page or completed a step, such as requesting designs or placing an order, together with device and browser identifiers and your IP address. See Section 10.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To create and deliver custom blanket and towel designs
- To process payments and fulfill orders
- To set up and manage your fundraising campaign
- To communicate about your order, design revisions, and campaign progress
- To send campaign-related emails (launch announcements, reminders, progress updates) to your supporters
- To provide customer support
- To understand which of our posts, emails and channels lead people to start a fundraiser, so we can focus our outreach
- To measure our advertising and show our ads to people likely to be interested in running a fundraiser
- To improve our products and services
- To comply with legal obligations
4. How We Share Your Information
We share your information only with service providers necessary to deliver our services:
- Stripe: processes all credit card and ACH payments. Stripe handles payment data under their own privacy policy. We never store your full card number.
- GoHighLevel (CRM): manages customer communications, email campaigns, and fundraiser coordination. Your contact information and order details are stored here to power your fundraising campaign. GoHighLevel also provides the chat widget that appears on fundraiser storefronts; if you start a chat, your message and contact details are handled through that service.
- Cloudinary: hosts design images and uploaded artwork. Images are stored securely and accessed via encrypted URLs.
- Vercel: hosts our website and application. Server logs may contain IP addresses and request data.
- eSignatures.com: processes digital contract signatures for fundraiser agreements.
- Google Gemini AI: generates custom design options based on your organization details. Design prompts include your organization name, colors, and mascot. No personal contact information is sent to AI services.
- Google, Meta and OpenAI (advertising): their advertising tools receive information about visits and completed steps on our marketing pages and the design and order pages, so we can measure our ads and show them to people likely to be interested. They handle this information under their own privacy policies and may use it to improve their advertising services. If you request designs or start a fundraiser, we may also share your email address or phone number with them in a scrambled (hashed) form, so they can match the step to an ad you saw. We never share information about supporters who buy from a fundraiser storefront. See Section 10.
We do not sell your personal information for money. Some US state privacy laws treat the advertising use described above as "selling" or "sharing" personal information, or as "targeted advertising". You can opt out of it, as explained in Section 10. Other than that, we do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
5. If You Are a Supporter Buying From a Fundraiser
This section is for parents, family members, and community members who buy through a fundraiser storefront. You give this information to us, not to the school or the coordinator running the fundraiser.
What we ask you for
- Your name and email address: required, so we can process the order and send your receipt and pickup details.
- Your phone number: optional.
- The recipient's first name: usually a child. This is used only to label the order so the right item reaches the right person at pickup, and it is printed on the coordinator's pickup checklist and delivery labels.
- A classroom, teacher, or team: so the order is sorted into the correct group for distribution.
- Any delivery notes you choose to add: optional and free-form.
Orders are picked up through the organization running the fundraiser, so we do not collect a shipping address from supporters. Your card details go directly to Stripe; we never see or store them. The recipient's name is not sent to our payment processor. It stays with us and the coordinator, for labeling and handout.
Who sees it
Your fundraiser's coordinator can see your name, email, phone, order details, the recipient name, and any notes you added, and can export them to organize distribution. We use the service providers listed in Section 4 to store this information and send your emails. We do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. Fundraiser storefronts do not run advertising tools, and we never give supporter information to advertising platforms.
Emails you'll receive
You'll get an order confirmation, and updates about the fundraiser you supported: progress, reminders while it's running, and a notice when your order is ready to pick up. Every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link.
Removing your information
Because you gave this information to us directly, you control it. A coordinator cannot delete a supporter who placed an order. Email us at support@fundraisingwizard.com and we will remove your name, email address, phone number, and the recipient name from your order, keeping only the financial details we are required to retain. See Section 7.
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information:
- All data transmitted via HTTPS/TLS encryption
- Payment processing handled by PCI-compliant Stripe
- Access controls on administrative systems
- Encrypted storage for sensitive credentials
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. What happens when you ask us to delete data depends on what kind of information it is.
What we delete on request
- Contacts a coordinator uploaded who never placed an order. A coordinator can delete these at any time from the Supporters tab of their dashboard: it is their own contact list.
- Your information as a supporter, if you placed an order. You provided this to us directly at checkout, so it is yours to control, not the coordinator's: a coordinator cannot delete a supporter who ordered. Email us and we will remove your name, email address, phone number, and any recipient name from your order record, keeping only the financial details we are required to retain.
- Your campaign account: the coordinator dashboard, its login access, your storefront, waitlist signups, and campaign messages. A coordinator can close their account from Settings; deletion is scheduled after a 24-hour period during which it can be cancelled.
- How you found us. The note of how you first reached our site, saved on your record, is deleted with your account on request. If you requested designs but never opened an account, email us and we will remove it.
What we retain
Some records cannot be deleted on request because we are required to keep them, or because they document a completed transaction between our businesses:
- Financial and transaction records: order amounts, dates, invoices, purchase orders, payments, and refunds, retained for tax, accounting, and legal compliance. Where these records reference an individual supporter, the personal details are removed and only the financial facts remain.
- Organization, contract, and coordinator records: your organization's name, signed agreements, and the coordinator contact information associated with them. These document the business relationship and our obligations under it.
- Approved artwork and design files: retained as production records and to support reorders. If you would like specific artwork removed, contact us and we will review the request individually.
- Public campaign archive pages: past campaign pages showing your organization's branding and approved design remain available so previously shared links do not break. These pages do not display supporter information.
Information held by our processors
Our payment processor (Stripe) retains transaction records under its own legal obligations, and our email and CRM provider retains message history, independently of any deletion we perform. Deleting data from our systems does not remove it from theirs. Backups and system logs may also retain information for a limited period before they expire.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your personal information, subject to the records we are required to retain (see Section 7)
- Opt out of marketing communications
- Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information, and of targeted advertising (see Section 10)
Coordinators can delete uploaded contacts who never ordered, and close their account, directly from the dashboard. Supporters who placed an order, and anyone making any other request, including a request to receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you, should contact us at support@fundraisingwizard.com and we will respond within a reasonable period.
9. Children's Privacy and Student Records
Our services are directed to adults (fundraiser coordinators, parents, and community members). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We are not designed to receive student records, and schools should not disclose them to us. Coordinators uploading a contact list are instructed, in the app at the point of upload, to import adult contacts only: parents, guardians, staff, and community supporters, never student rosters or student names, emails, phone numbers, or student IDs. A child's first name is provided later by their own parent at checkout, solely so the order can be labeled for delivery, and it can be removed on request at any time.
If you believe a child's information has been provided to us, or that a contact list containing student data was uploaded, contact us at support@fundraisingwizard.com and we will remove it promptly.
10. Cookies and Tracking
We use browser localStorage to maintain your session and order state within the application, and two first-party cookies of our own: one that remembers how you first reached our site, and one that remembers who referred you if you arrived through a referral partner's link. Both are set by us, are never shared with advertisers, and are not used to follow you on other sites.
The design wizard and order pages use Google Analytics to measure how people move through them. Our hosting provider (Vercel) may use essential cookies for security and performance.
Advertising tools
Our marketing pages and the design and order pages may use advertising pixels and cookies from Google, Meta and OpenAI. They tell these companies when someone who saw one of our ads visits our site or completes a step such as requesting designs or placing an order, so we can measure which ads work and show our ads to people likely to be interested. These companies may recognize your browser across other websites and apps under their own privacy policies.
Advertising tools never run on fundraiser storefronts, coordinator dashboards, or our administrative pages.
You can opt out of this advertising use at any time:
- Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out, and our site does not load the advertising pixels.
- Your browser settings. You can block or delete cookies, including third-party cookies.
- Each company's own ad settings, for example Google's Ad Settings and Meta's Ad Preferences.
- Email us at support@fundraisingwizard.com to ask us not to share your email address or phone number with advertising platforms.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
12. Contact Us
